The Carnival takes place on the 3rd Saturday of October every year.
The Children's procession takes place at 3:15pm and the main procession at 7:15pm.
9am-Noon - Coffee Morning in the Charter Hall
2pm - Judging — day collectors & children's fancy dress.
3pm - Crowning of the Prince and/or Princess
3.15pm: - The Children’s Procession.
The procession, led by Okehampton Excelsior Band, sets off from School Way . It then goes up Market Street turns left into Fore Street, up East Street to the junction at Mill Road and then back through the town before dispersing in Market Street.
Road closures will be in place from 3pm until the procession ends
Mill Road (from the waterwheel to its junction with Station Road), St James Street, Park Row and Kempley Road will be closed from 5pm for the assembling of tableaux.
6:00 pm - Judging of Tableaux & Walking Entries
7pm - Crowning of the Carnival Queen and/or King
7:15pm - Main Procession
Roads affected for the evening procession (from 6:30pm) will be Mill Road, Station Road, George Street, Market Street, Fore Street, North Street ,East Street, Northfield Road,Victoria Street, Wonnacotts Road, Lopes Crescent,Barton Road, the Link Road, Crediton Road, Leaholes Avenue, Limehayes Road and Exeter Road
