OMAS - Observatory for Migrants’ Inclusion & Integration: Attica-Sicily cover
Description The “Observatory for Migrants’ Inclusion & Integration: Attica-Sicily (OMAS)” is a one-year pilot project run by Inter Alia, a civic organisation and think-tank based in Athens, in cooperation with CESIE, organisation based in Palermo.

OMAS' aims to contribute to improving the quality of projects dealing with migration and the level of readiness of civic organisations in Attica and Sicily to produce sustainable projects. Through collecting and communicating good practices and exposing bad practices, OMAS aims to enable the effective use of resources for the inclusion and integration of migrants, to increase accountability of organisations and policy makers, and to facilitate the building and extension of networks working for the same cause.

Four EVS volunteers will be responsible for assisting the process of charting civic initiatives for migrants’ inclusion and integration in the two involved regions. Their work will supply materials for the Observatory, an on-line platform providing information in English, Greek and Italian.
