What is Kiwanis?
Kiwanis is a verb. It’s something you do. Lots of Kiwanians do it a couple of hours a week - some a lot more. But in all of the doing there is a single purpose in Kiwanis - Service to our communities, especially to benefit the most needy members of our communities. Meetings, sometimes laced with horseplay, accompanied by sometimes mediocre food, laughter - and sometimes tears, build bonds among Kiwanians that strengthen the Team for the times when there is serious community service work to be done. The Kiwanian's time, care, and concern changes the lives of the recipients a little ... or a lot.
Kiwanians see the benefit directly, and the benefit is often immediate.
That's Kiwanis. It's a VERB!
