“The vision for Operation HOPE South Africa is to educate and empower South African children and adults, especially women, through Financial Dignity "
The mission of Operation HOPE, is silver rights empowerment, making free enterprise work for everyone. We accomplish this through our work on the ground as the nonprofit private banker for the working poor, the underserved and struggling middle class. We achieve our mission by being the best-in-class provider of financial literacy empowerment for youth, financial capability for communities, and ultimately, financial dignity for all.
Operation HOPE South Africa facilitates financial empowerment education from a right brain and left brain perspective. By communicating the knowledge, skills, and attitudes associated with sound money management, our current programming gives these individuals the means to use their scarce financial resources more effectively and to choose the financial services and products that best meet their needs.
The overarching goal of Operation HOPE South Africa’s Banking on Our Future program is to offer financial literacy and empowerment education to underserved South African youth and adults, customized and contextualized to their specific languages and cultures. Financial literacy education, with an emphasis on the concepts of dignity and entrepreneurship, serves as a catalyst for change in South Africa, combining with the work of private, public and non-profit organizations to build a solid foundation of economic empowerment throughout the country. Banking on Our Future, South Africa's six-module curriculum is currently delivered in the Eastern Cape, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West and Western Cape provinces.
