|About||Seed corn and soybean sales and distribution|
Daniel Oswald Sr. started selling Curry Seed corn around 1979 out of his garage 2 miles north of pilger. Shortly after that Oswald Farm Supply was born. In 1982 he purchased a building on Main Street of Pilger to run his business from. In 1983 he purchased another building in Stanton as a satellite location for Oswald Farm Supply. By 1996 Oswald Farm Supply had outgrown both of it's locations, so Dan purchased a large office/warehouse in Pilger to replace his other two locations and keep up with the demand for Curry Seed.
Dan enjoyed 25 years of selling the best seed on the market, and built a legacy for generations to come. Sadly, Dan passed away on Feb 5th, 2004, at a very young age of 49.
So, with very large shoes to fill, I (Dan Oswald Jr.) took on the challenge of selling seed at age 25. I purchase the business and inherited the reputation of my father. After my first year of owning Oswald Farm Supply, I took a full time job as a District Sales Manager for Curry Seed Co. for all of Eastern Nebraska, and continued to operate Oswald Farm Supply. Then in 2008, the "Curry" brand name was purchased by Dupont Pioneer. Little did I know what this would do for the success of both Oswald Farm Suppy and Curry Seed.
Then in July of 2014, Oswald Farm Supply's warehouse and office was demolished by a F4 tornado, but by February of 2015 was back in business, bigger and better than ever.
