Penipe Foundation cover
Mission With continued support Penipe Foundation continues to grow each day, with the hopes that scheduled medical trips to Ecuador become a norm and more and more of the orphaned and disabled children and adults living in Penipe get the medical and emotional care they so desperately need. Disabilities in the orphanage include Muscle Dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Down’s syndrome
Description Penipe is a small village deep in Los Andes which houses “Casa de La Caridad”(House of Charity) where orphan and handicap children from all over Ecuador are given care by a group of Catholic Nuns. Since 2009 we have been organizing medical trips to take care of these children.
Founded Efren Ormaza with the tireless help of Hermanas de La Caridad ( Sisters of Charity), Dr. Robert Crook and Dr. Paul
