Phoenix Dance Theatre is a national contemporary dance company and a registered charity (No. 516672). Phoenix was founded in 1981 to entertain, educate and inspire audiences through the medium of dance. We are a national mid-scale repertory dance company based in the North of England.

|Awards||Phoenix has received awards and nominations since its inception, such as Critics’ Circle Dance Award, Digital Dance Award, the Grand Prize at the International Choreographic Competition in Bagnolet, Best Arts Project Award, Leeds Architectural Award, Royal Television Society Yorkshire Centre Award and nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.|
