"It all began in 2014 after we graduated from college at the University of Limerick. We asked ourselves, how could we make a living from doing the things we love, eating and cooking. This led to the creation of Pig 'n' Bird Catering.
Our 1st gig took place in Dunmore East Co.Waterford at the Bluegrass Festival. Over whelmed with the feedback on the day we decided to go one step further and purchase an old catering van used for selling baked potatoes. Three years later and the old spud van has been transformed into our very own catering trailer, 'The Bap Mobile'.
Having both spent a summer catering in McGrath's Clambakes, Newport, Rode Island, we learned our trade and developed our own unique and rustic style.
We believe that good things happen to those who wait. That is why we slow roast our pork for up to 8-9 hours in our homemade spice rub. Both marinates are left soak into the meats the day before for optimum favour.
While this is still a part time venture (for now) we are fully committed to providing top quality catering services for every and any event.
