Pilates Reforming Long Island is an integrative approach to fitness. Based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates, a full body exercise program is designed connecting and developing the mind, body and spirit. Our goal is to increase strength while improving balance coordination and flexibility of the spine. A variety of light weights and specialized Pilates equipment are used in progressive stages to achieve maximum results. Key principles of the Pilates method are included focusing on relaxation, concentration and control. Certified Pilates Instructors and Personal Trainers have the knowledge to design programs to meet specific modifications and address medical concerns.
Victoria Fries is the creator and director of Pilates Reforming Long Island. She began her career at the Garden City Personal Training Studio over 13 years ago as a Personal Trainer. She is certified with The American Council of Exercise (ACE) and the Aerobics Fitness Association of America (AFAA) as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor.
As her passion for fitness continued she discovered Pilates. Today she is fully certified in Cadillac, Reformer, Tower, Chair, Barrel and Mat with Balanced Body the leading manufacturer of Pilates equipment. Victoria is certified in Prenatal Pilates as well as all stages of pregnancy. She is certified in CPR with the American Heart Association and is fully insured. Victoria is fully committed to lifelong learning and regularly takes continuing education courses. She is pursuing her Masters degree at Adelphi University in Exercise Physiology.
