|About||The Pinch Reunion is the longest running reunion of its kind in the United States.|
The Pinch Reunion was established in 1902 as a community event.
In the past, events have ranged from horseshoe competitions, political campaigning and stumping, greasy poles and hours of wonderful local music.
The event has always been on the second Sunday in August, with concerts and festivities leading up to this time-honored Elk River Tradition.
In late 2011, the reunion grounds became the target of an arsonist, and are in need of repair. For that reason, we are holding the Sunday events in 2012 at the Elk River Community Center on Sunday, August 12th, beginning at 10:00 am. Saturday musical events and vendors will be at the upper reunion grounds, and the horseshoe and cornhole tournaments will be at the lower reunion grounds.
The Pie-baking contest will be held upstairs at the Pinch Volunteer Fire Department at 3:00 p.m. Pies can be dropped off as early as 2:00 p.m.
The Pageants for the Pinch Reunion Royalty will be held July 14th at Elk River Community Center.
