Since the year 1967, Ponte's has redefined Italian dining in Manhattan. Located on the waterfront in northern TriBeCa, it provides stunning views of the Hudson River. During sunset, the exposed brick walls, Tuscan arches, and original wooden beams are drenched in beautiful golden light. The alighted history of the structure is further enjoyed in combination with the exquisitely prepared Northern Italian cuisine, particularly the Ponte's signature dish the Aragosta Arrabbiatta, also known as the Angry Lobster. The 2 to 3.5 pounds of lobster are sauteed with garlic, basil, and red pepper flakes to utter perfection. Other highlights on the menu include the daily Rosticceria specials such as the Saturday whole suckling pig with apple and citrus mustard, baby carrots and potato croquet. Additionally, all of the pasta is made on premises with the freshest ingredients. With the large variety of delicious options there is something that will please even the pickiest eater's palette. Ponte's also boasts an excellent selection of over two hundred wines. To add to the fine dining experience, acoustic guitarist and singer, Ray Greiche, plays at the Cigar Bar on Saturday evenings.
