About Everything from Quadrilles to Tango.
Mission Our mission is to provide a low-stress opportunity to learn and practice these dances, which are often taught in intensive workshops, and which are often danced in costume-intense historical reconstructions, re-enactments, demonstrations, etc., and also to have fun and demonstrate how enjoyable these dances can be.
Description The dances are reconstructions of historical social dance, based on period dance manuals, ranging from the beginning of the 19th century through the early part of the 20th century, such as One Step, Blues, early Foxtrot, early Tango, Maxixe, Half and Half, Waltz, Hesitation Waltz, "New" Waltz, Redowa, Polka-Mazourka, Zingerella, Grand March, early Contra Dance, Quadrilles, Cotillons, Regency-era Country Dance, Regency-era Waltz, Polka, Schottische, Varsovienne, and Charleston, to list the most common.
Founded some time around 1990, but who's counting?
