|About||Qanuinngitsiarutiksait "Developing population-based health & well-being strategies for Inuit"|
Our mission is to find and talk to Inuit in Manitoba and ask what you think of the health care system as well as other services like education, housing etc.
Find out what you would like to see improved. Statistics say that there are over 1000 Inuit who live in the province of Manitoba, we're hoping we can get in touch with you all to talk about the research we're doing and hope for you to participate.
Our research tem is in partnership with the Manitoba Inuit Association and the University of Manitoba. We are funded by the Canadian Institute of Health Research.
We are working with elders, knowledge keepers, Inuit who use the health care system, government and other organizations to come up with ideas that will make accessing health care and other essential services in Manitoba easier for Inuit and that will work better for the Inuit community. We are going to come up with different ideas that are created by Inuit for Inuit.
We call the study Qanuinngitsiarutiksait (Tools for the well-being/safety of Inuit) because it helps us explain that we want to work with Inuit to come up with ideas/solutions and understand problems Inuit face using the Manitoba health care system and other services.
Our team needs your help, please contact us and feel free to ask us any questions you have.
