|About||My husband & I have a shop in Interiors Marketplace of the Carolinas. We sell home decor, vintage pieces, antiques, artisanry & holiday items.|
My husband and I have recently opened a space in Interiors Marketplace of the Carolinas, located at 2129 Old Spartanburg Rd, Greer, SC 29650. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm. We sell home decor, vintage pieces, primitive antiques, artisanry, and holiday items.
Our shop, which we call REDEEMABLE, is an effort to reflect just a part of what God offers us. “In the beginning” of Genesis all the way to the “Amen” of Revelation we can see God’s plan unfold. His plan is that of REDEMPTION! “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” His plea is simply, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Each of us can come in our brokenness to a God of mercy, who loved us enough to send His Son to live a blameless life, to suffer and die on a cross to pay the penalty for our sin, and to be resurrected that we might be made whole and have life to the fullest and forever with Him.
Some of the items you see have needed just a little TLC (and some a lot) to reveal their innate beauty and purpose – several have remaining “scars” and signs of age, which enhance their character and beauty – still others are in need of “redemption.” Many will return to fulfilling their original purpose, others will find a totally new purpose. In some cases, varying pieces of old have been united to create something new. Selected new items are here to compliment the old.
Unfortunately, we live in a “throw-away” society where giving a used or previously owned item as a gift is largely unacceptable. We would like to be a part of changing that culture, recognizing that our resources are finite and should be used conservatively and wisely to leave a better world for future generations. Giving, or graciously accepting, gifts that have been used, upcycled, or repurposed is another way we can contribute to sustainable living.
Blessings to you, and we look forward to
