A not-for-profit media organization covering natural history, sustainability and sociology in Northern California and beyond.
Our mission is to educate the public on issues effecting them, the animals, and the environment that we all co-exist in. Through photo documentary, documentary film and media literacy outreach, our goal is to help others empathize and cooperate with all aspects of the natural world.
We are a not-for-profit media company on California's North coast. Through web journalism, documentary features and short films, we will be covering the natural history, sustainability, sociology and human welfare issues in our region and beyond. We're located in the heart of Humboldt County, a land rich in natural treasures, idiosyncratic culture, and enterprising minds working on solutions to the problems of the 21st century. We're excited about sharing deep explorations of our mostly overlooked region, and we're excited about our first feature film project, Fecotopia: The Wild World of Arcata Marsh.
