|Mission||We believe that God saves and transforms individuals, families, neighborhoods, and entire cities. We desire for Collinsville to be filled with saved, transformed, disciple-making worshipers by declaring and demonstrating the gospel in visible ways to people who are far from God..|
We are a church plant in Collinsville, IL. We are not a “church” by the most well-known definition of the word. Meaning, church is not a service or a building, but the people - imperfect, broken, and flawed. These are the people Jesus came for - the misfit, the addict, the hurt, lost, lonely, and outcast - those who recognize they have a need that they themselves cannot meet. These are the people we have come to Collinsville to reach. We invite you to belong to this community, who strives to live life on mission, not just for a couple of hours on a Sunday, but in the ordinary, average living of life, to see our city and the lives of those in it transformed.
If you've ever said you'll never set foot in a church service, if you've been hurt by religion, if you have doubts and questions concerning God, Jesus, or life in general and never felt like you could express them ... we want to invite you to come have a meal with us and join the discussion on Wednesday nights.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT "Family Gatherings" are a place for us to grow in our love for the Word and prayer, and close fellowship with believers.
These will always include two ingredients:
1. Meals – Meals wordlessly communicate “family”, and “mission.” Jesus often demonstrated His family and mission by eating meals with disciples and outsiders.
2. A low-barrier Bible study – Just as the meal communicates family and mission, so will Bible study. By “low-barrier” we mean that a person doesn’t need to know anything about Bible or theology to participate in the conversation. Hopefully, some non-Christian friends will be included.
THE SUNDAY WORSHIP GATHERING is necessary to bring all of the Missional Communities together regularly; because living this life of making disciples who make disciples in the everyday-life is difficult to try to do on our own. Our sanctuary is currently being renovated. Until it is complete, we are meeting in the lower level of our church building on Sundays at 9:30am.
The founding Pastor of Remedy Church is Kory Kimbrell.
In 2015, Kory, along with his wife Amy and their 2 children, moved to Kory's hometown of Collinsville, IL, to obey a calling God had placed on their lives to plant Remedy Church.
