RASC provides safe shelter for abandoned, abused, neglected, and starving horses. Our four-legged friends get a second chance at our rescue sanctuary in Lubbock, Texas. We are the largest such horse rescue and sanctuary in the West Texas region.
Rescue Animals Second Chance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to save as many horses as possible in West Texas. We are at capacity and in need of funds to continue to provide shelter, food, veterinarian care, and human interaction to these more than 55 horses that live at the Double Nickels Ranch in Lubbock, Texas.
Dr. Beth Nickels founded Rescue Animals Second Chance Inc. in 2013. She is a Lubbock, Texas, native who is a general and trauma surgeon in private practice. She is a graduate of Coronado High School and a Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, both located in Lubbock. RASC is the largest horse rescue and sanctuary in the West Texas region.
