|Mission||Every child learns computational thinking. Programming is the new language that should be introduced to children at early age in this digital world. Children learn to create the technology not just users of the technology. Starting in primary school, children should have the opportunity to: learn some of the key ideas of computer science; understand computational thinking; learn to program; and have the opportunity to progress to the next level of excellence in these activities.|
Rex Programming offers a whole new classroom experience for kids ages 5-18. Every class is jointly taught by an educator and a computer scientist who work together to mix formal and one-on-one instruction with hands-on learning and group projects in a fun supportive environment. Student create their own computer animations and design and program robots to complete tasks and race against the clock. Our advance learners create video games, mobile apps as well as design websites using Java, HTML, and Mobile App development software. Every student also receives training in internet safety.
Using age-appropriate programming languages and techniques developed by MIT, Carnegie Mellon, University of Virginia, University of California Berkeley, as well the Arduino and LEGO robotics systems, we teach much more than just programming -- We teach advanced problem solving and logical thinking skills that will last a lifetime.
