About The LGBT+ Office provides a range of services to include:

Mission LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning) Affairs is a new department within the Community, Equity and Diversity division at RIC. It will seek to address the various concerns, both academic and personal, of the LGBTQ campus community and its
allies. The efforts of this office will be to integrate the best practices for inclusion of gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation into all appropriate aspects of campus life and provide students with an educational experience that is fully inclusive and affirming.

In collaboration with the LGBTQ organizations within Providence and greater Rhode Island, this department will work to ensure that state and federal protections provided to students, faculty, and staff including but not limited to: Title IX, Title VII, hate crime and non-discrimination
ordinances are upheld to the highest level.
