Riga Summer School is a university-level educational summer program for media, journalism, librarianship and film students. Next edition: August 1-13, 2017.
To learn about documentary filmmaking and produce videos about Riga neighborhoods.
If you are studying communication, journalism, media, public relations, advertising, information science, librarianship or another creative field and are interested in film, photo and video, we’ve got something exciting for you. We are looking for 25 hard-working, eager and fun students from the Baltics, Europe and all over the world, who want to come to Riga this summer and produce a short video or multimedia clip about the media and information literacy or UN Agenda 2030 in Libraries! Officially we are calling it the summer school, but in reality it will be less of a school in the traditional sense and more of a week long creative production studio, where we will all be learning to produce short videos and share our passion for film. Any kind of ideas for short videos would fit – from factually journalistic to creatively artistic, as long as they tell a story about the topic – it is really up to you. Applications are welcome until May 20, check more info on our website www.rigasummerschool.eu!
