The mission of the S.T.A.R.S. Youth Enrichment Program (Skills, Talent, Action, Results, and Success) is a unique program which supports at-risk youth. S.T.A.R.S. promotes community focused interventions which can improve the "quality of life" for youth and adults in underserved areas. S.T.A.R.S. accomplishes its mission by providing academic, social, physical and cultural programs along with life skills training to produce lasting behavioral changes. In addition, S.T.A.R.S. Youth Enrichment Program engages youth in the fellowship of sport.
This unique combination of personal growth and experiential learning produces visible results by allowing young individuals to take ownership and responsibility for a new and improved quality of life which will contribute to a sustainable and a successful future. Throughout the day the S.T.A.R.S. program offers multiple classroom sessions helping to develop their physical skills on the court and how to make smart choices off of it.

1) To deliver an epic, fun, and inspiring camp experience to the world’s youth while advancing sport, education, and life values for our camper

The basic goals of The S.T.A.R.S. (Skills, Talent, Action, Results, and Success) Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) is to provide our primary audience with the following: a) a safe and fun environment in which to learn and participate in sport b) two nutritional and well balanced meals and multiple healthy snacking experiences throughout the camp day c) expose our audience to successful individuals from all walks of life throughout the camp day d) is a unique program that supports underprivileged and at-risk youth. Throughout the course of a day, The S.T.A.R.S. YEP promotes the facilitation of academic, social, physical, and cultural programs along with life skills training.
The program was founded in Louisville, Kentucky in the spring of 2009 at the Chestnut Street YMCA (a historically African-American YMCA located in inner-city Louisville). In six (6) years, the program has been hosted in Louisville, KY; Los Angeles, CA; Sacramento, CA; Dayton (Trotwood, OH); Nashville, TN; and Fairbanks, AK.
The program has served over one thousand young people between the ages of 8-16 since its inception.
Over the years, the camp has benefited from endorsements, sponsorships, and partnerships from Norton Health Care Group, Best Buy, Target, various national law enforcement agencies throughout the United States, SLAM Magazine, the YMCA system, Chick-fil-A, Super Subby’s, the Muhammad Ali Cent
