San Diego Biomedical Research Institute is dedicated to predict, prevent and alleviate chronic diseases by accelerating medical advances through basic research, science education and community partnerships.
SDBRI is a newly established non-profit biomedical research institute. The institute's mission is to conduct basic biomedical research to foster the discovery of causes and treatments relating to human diseases and the associated long-term complications. SDBRI supports researchers by providing a collaborative, intra-disciplinary environment in which investigators and their research can thrive in a stress-free work environment, maximizing the potential of institutional resources by prioritizing research needs, expanding research opportunities by encouraging investigators to apply for foundation and other private funding (in addition to federal support), and developing a human tissue bank to accelerate translational research.
