Sappi coated papers are specified for printing projects in which top-quality reproduction is essential, including corporate annual reports, fashion magazines, catalogs and fine art books. Sappi offers a broad selection of paper choices – from ultra-brite blue to neutral; a variety of finishes – from gloss to matte; and a range of weights – from heavy stock cover to a variety of sheet and webgrade papers. North American brands include: McCoy, Opus, Somerset and Flo. Our global brands include Magno, HannoArt and the brands acquired under Sappi Limited’s acquisition of M-real’s coated graphic paper business including Galerie Art and EuroArt Plus sheets, and the Galerie Publishing Papers, which include Galerie Fine, Galerie Silk, Galerie Brite, and Galerie Lite web.
The company is also the world’s leading supplier of release or “specialty papers,” which provide the surface aesthetics, found in plastic-coated fabrics used in footwear, clothing, upholstery and accessories. Release papers are also used to add texture to decorative laminates found in kitchens, baths, flooring and other decorative surfaces. Our release business offers a variety of products including Ultracast, which is the ultimate in texture replication and the only release paper with the ability to replicate 100% of the original surface’s technology. The majority of release paper sales occur in Asia and parts of Europe.
