Description THE PROJECT • Sensing Body promotes classes and events which interlace creativity, mindfulness and healing for raising awareness and well-being in life. All practices address the bodymind, dealing with an expanded notion of the body-being. We stand for interdisciplinary source of knowledge, regular practice and a sense of community. We believe this triad can favor transformation of bodymind habits and conditioned patterns towards consciously choosing to live a life we esteem and relish. If you feel in tune with this concept, you can try the involved practices in regular classes, workshops, specials and open classes. Keep track of our events to know what is to come.

THE PRACTICES • Sensing Body is also the name given to our two regular movement practices. They are based on somatic methods to expand perception and awareness towards and through movement and meeting the pleasure and healing power of the moving body. • Sensing Body eX is an unfolding of the class more towards expression and expressivity. From the same somatic-methods-based explorations, it deepens in movement investigation and elements related to the use of bodymind in scene (stage).

DETAILS about the practices:
Through a variety of somatic approaches – as observation of anatomical images, hands on, imagery and movement exercises – we drive ourselves into inner perception and dive into diverse body-mind states and movement qualities.
We explore different systems and layers of the body: bones, organs, skin, cinesphere or the extended body etc. Each of them bring very diverse sensations, states of being and qualities of moving. With the time of practice you become more and more free to navigate between these qualities and access them more easily. You learn to use this enlarged bodymind awareness as resource for moving what and the way it needs to be moved in each moment. The regular practice allows a flow and outflow of energy, tensions and emotions that we inevitably collect in our bodies.
