Tony began his sales career as an Air Force Recruiter in 1977 as an Air Force Recruiter in San Jose, California after serving six years of service. Normally a four-year tour of special duty, Tony remained in the field for 17 years winning several commendations and awards along the way. He was also recognized by the U.S. Army, Navy and Marine Corps for providing unselfish assistance to their respective recruiting programs.
Upon retirement in 1994, he became a licensed REALTOR with Keller Williams Realty and was named their Austin, Texas Rookie of the Year for 1995. After only 18 months as a licensed REALTOR, he was asked to manage and grow the Company’s San Antonio Offices; due in large part because of his experience and success as an Air Force Recruiter, Manager, and Trainer. By 2001, he had built and was managing the most successful real estate office in San Antonio with over 200 agents! He brought the Company to the number one position in the San Antonio Business Journal, and in 2003 he was named the Franchise Real Estate Manager of the Year by the Independent Platinum Top 50 Organization.
Tony left Keller Williams to join Kimberly Howell in opening her first office with the Avalar Real Estate Company in 2005, and together they grew that office to over 100 agents. Tony has trained many hundreds of agents over the years as well as Managers and Broker/Owners for both the Keller Williams and Avalar companies. He has also coached and consulted various independent Brokers, and Owners, as well. He is a certified Texas Real Estate Commission Instructor and conducts training for the Austin Institute of Real Estate.
