|About||Torrance, CA law office representing injured cyclists in Southern California|
I’m a lawyer in Los Angeles and I represent bicyclists who have been hit by cars. I got my first sport bike in 1982, a Nishiki International purchased from Freewheeling Bicycles in Austin, Texas, for $375, and began racing in 1984 as a Cat 4 with the USCF. I still race on the road as a Cat 2 masters cyclist and compete in about twenty USA Cycling road race events each year.
My practice helps cyclists get compensation from insurance companies, individual motorists, corporations, and from governmental entities such as cities and counties when the cyclist has been injured as a result of someone else’s negligence or intentional harmful act.
In addition, I’m an advocate for cyclists and their right to safely use the roads. I participate in public meetings that affect road safety issues, I provide pro bono services to many cyclists who’ve been wrongfully harassed by law enforcement through bogus traffic citations, and I help cyclists develop and submit complaints against motorists who have threatened or harassed them through reckless driving or intentional bad acts. I have a cycling blog with an irreverent and pro-biker point of view that focuses on the social, legal, and humorous aspects of riding and racing a bike in Los Angeles. My blog received about 3,000 views per day in 2016 from all over the world.
