|About||Shannon's School of Highland Dance is located in Surrey, BC, Canada. Shannon accepts new students aged 4+, and welcomes adult dancers as well.|
Shannon (Bleasby) Cressey started highland dancing at age 4 with Lorraine Graf. During her dance career she danced competitively throughout BC and western Washington, often placing in the top third of her class and competing in several Championship competitions. Shannon danced competitively well into her twenties and she continues to dance recreationally today. Shannon is a full member teacher with the SDTA with 10 years experience teaching. She has been operating her dance school and instructing dancers on her own since 2007. She is also a ScotDance BC member in good standing.
Shannon’s School of Highland Dance is a very family oriented dance school, with about 40 students at this time. In the future, Shannon hopes to continue to add to her school, but right now she enjoys having the time to give each and every dancer the special attention they deserve.
When she is not teaching dance, Shannon is a mom to two little girls, both of whom have joined her dance studio family. Shannon enjoys the outdoors, reading and being social! In her “spare time”, Shannon works part time as an environmental educator.
