The mission of Shoulders of Strength (SOS), is to identify and utilize community resources to determine strengths/assess needs and assist in the comprehensive planning of services that will enable families of children with disabilities to achieve and maintain individualized personal goals and improve their quality of life. We provide in-home, in-school counseling, as well as medication management with our on-staff Psychiatrists. Currently accepting Medicaid only! Servicing Monroe, Alexandria, Shreveport and Lafayette.
At Shoulders of Strength, we work toward the removal of barriers, therby empowering families to be able to fully participate in all aspects of community life and enhance their child's development. Our compassion team of Mental Health Specialists, Mental Health Professionals, Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Social Workers work together with each client to ensure the utmost care and compassion is given to achieve each goal.

Any infant or toddler aged birth to three who has a medical diagnosis or a developmental delay in cognition, physical, communication, adaptive, or social-emotional areas may be eligible to receive services such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Vision Services, Speech Therapy, Audiology Services, Special Instruction or a number of other services. Services are free for the family.
