While most of the procedures at the hospital are eye related and performed by our own ophthalmologists, the facilities are also utilised by other specialists including MOHS surgeons and maxillofacial specialists.
The South Bank Day Hospital has a strong commitment to teaching and research. You will see hospital staff work closely with clinicians and researchers at the Queensland Eye Institute to help improve clinical care for all patients.
Some of the regular procedures performed at the hospital include:

The South Bank Day Hospital is licensed with Queensland Health and accredited to ISO: 9001 2008 and NSQHS Standards. These standards ensure that patient safety and risk prevention strategies are in place during your stay. The hospital is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Queensland Eye Institute with all surplus profits going directly into the work of the Foundation.
