|Description||The Chamber was established in 1984 by a group of local business people to help develop the local business community.|
Working in partnership with other agencies and private business we have shared many past successes including:
* Obtaining tax-designated status for the Tallaght Town Centre leading to the construction of The Square Shopping Centre. This in turn has seen a major influx of new businesses to the area over the last decade.
*Locating and building of the Institute of Technology, Tallaght.
*The development of a Regional Teaching Hospital at Tallaght.
*The location of the National Digital Park in Citywest.
*Involved in pioneering new business development services for the small and medium business sector.
*Launched the 'South Dublin Development Strategy 2001-2016, currently being developed.
*Supported the South Dublin County Council on the development of Grange Castle.
Our most cost saving initiative exclusively to Chamber members is Chamber HR.
This service was launched through Chambers Ireland (CI) in partnership with Peninsula Business Services to assist affiliated Chamber members in the increasingly difficult business area of personnel and employment law. Though it provides many varying services, Chamber HR's objective is the prevention of problems in the HRM area, including breaking down and explaining the difficult area of employment legislation and business protection.
Marketing/Advertising your Services and Products
We offer our members the opportunity to advertise their products or services in a Marketing Mailshot. At a highly competitive rate members can have an A4 flyer distributed to approximately 700 contacts on our mailing list. There must be a minimum of four participants per mailshot. A Chamber branded letter is included in the mailing to introduce each of the offers included and the packing is completed in the Chamber offices.
For an additional fee participants have the option of securing an advertising space on the homepage of our website for one month.

Promote your company through a member profile in our bi-monthly publication.
Some countries require documentation to prove the place of growth, production or manufacture of goods being imported. An authorised Certificate of Origin provides this proof and South Dublin Chamber is authorised by the Department of Enterprise Trade & Employment to issue Export Documentation and Certificates of Origin.
