|About||Thank you for helping us to help others!|
|Mission||The mission of Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women is to assist victims of domestic abuse.|
We proudly serve Scott County, Minnesota and Carver County, Minnesota.
We are set up to assist the abused woman in exploring the medical, legal and social service options available to her. We listen to a woman's needs and encourage her to make her own decisions. An advocate stands ready to help her in meeting those needs by accompanying her through the various medical, legal and social service alternatives she chooses.
We welcome women of any race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, affectional preference, age, marital status, physical challenge or status with regard to public assistance.
Feel free to browse our web site and find out if our services can be of assistance to you or anyone you know, or contact us to find out even more about our organization.
|Awards||SVABW is first nonprofit agency in Carver and Scott Counties to earn "Meets All Standards" Seal.|
|Founded||1983 by Maxine Kruschke, herself a victim of abuse.|
