|Mission||St. John Regional Catholic School provides and supports quality education in the tradition of the Catholic Church for all who seek it. The faith community is dedicated to the development of the whole person spiritually, academically, creatively, physically, emotionally, and socially – all through the teachings of Jesus Christ.|
|Description||Approximately 600 boys and girls in grades Pre-K through 8 attend St. John. About 17% belong to ethnic groups other than Caucasian. Students live in 35 different zip codes from Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland.|
Accreditation & Memberships
St. John is approved by the Maryland State Department of Education and is accredited by the Southern States Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. The school is a member of the National Catholic Education Association.
In 2009, SJRCS was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education.
The Archdiocese of Baltimore recently announced that SJRCS would be a STEM school forthe 2011-2012 school year.
