St Paul's has a faithful congregation made up of Christians from all over the world. Regular services are in English and include readings in Punjabi. Special services often include hymns and songs of praise from around the world. The Church is active in its support for Christians in other communities all over the World and has a strong link with All 3rd world countries.
The Church buildings were originally consecrated in 1842, but the Church was firebombed the same night as Coventry Cathedral, 14th November 1940. Only the Tower and Exterior walls were left standing.
The modern edifice of St Pauls was designed by Sir Charles Nicholson and completed in 1956.
