Step up Support offers overnight and daytime care to support adults and their carers.
We aim to help adults with learning disabilities to develop independence, personal growth, self esteem and confidence.
Step up Support was established in January 2012, by Carole and Liz, two social workers who had over twenty years experience working with Sheffield City Council.
Their knowledge of the needs of adults with learning disabilities their sound understanding of personalised budgets and the self directed support agenda, helped shape the service offered today.
Carole and Liz set up the social enterprise ‘Step Up Support’. The service is based in the community at a four bedroomed house, in south east Sheffield. A dedicated staff team work closely with management and are supported by volunteer company directors.
