The GSO is the graduate student government at Stony Brook University. The GSO is incorporated in the State of New York as a nonprofit organization.
|Mission||The GSO's purpose is to identify and protect the rights of graduate students, advance their interests, provide a forum for public debate, and promote graduate student participation in university affairs. The Graduate Student Organization is committed to affirmative action/equal employment laws and to prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex, race ethnicity, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, or veteran status.
