|About||Oxford University Department of Education presents Students Ongoing Research In Education Studies Graduate Conference on 17th-18th March 2015.|
This two-day conference will be a friendly and stimulating environment for graduate students to present and discuss their ongoing research in education and education-related projects in other disciplines (such as anthropology, social policy intervention, economics and the wider social sciences).
THEME: Crossing boundaries
The conference will take place in the Department of Education and will include presentations, posters and workshop sessions from student participants and guest speakers. There will be presentations from various academics and keynote speakers from different disciplines.
The aim of the 2015 conference is to explore the opportunities and challenges inherent in the pursuit of knowledge and experience across disciplines, educational exchange in practice and policy; and indeed how research and practice are communicated within and outside different fields and disciplines amongst research and practitioners alike.
Students at any stage of their research are encouraged to take part, meet others in different disciplines and gain valuable experience in presenting their research. The presentation format for students is 15 minutes each plus about 5 to 10 minutes of questions. Keynote speakers will present for about 45 minutes with 15 minutes available for questions.
