Mission As the Community Design Center for New York's Capital Region, TAP works to promote livable communities and encourage inclusive and sustainable community development. Since 1969, we have been advocates for the value of good design, participatory planning, and public engagement. TAP makes architectural, urban planning, and historic preservation services affordable to individuals, communities, and organizations who seek to improve the places where they live and the policies that shape their neighborhoods.
Description As the Community Design Center for the Capital Region, TAP works to promote livable communities and to encourage community development which is inclusive and sustainable. Since 1969, we have been advocates for the value of good design, participatory planning, and public engagement. TAP enables limited income individuals, communities and the organizations that serve them, access to affordable architectural, urban planning, and historic preservation services. Our mission is to assist people in improving the places where they live, and the policies that impact their environment.
