|About||TDA develops, manufactures mortar systems, induction rocket systems (non guided and laser guided) as well as warheads and pyrotechnic devices.|
TDA has a long tradition of serving the armed forces, providing weapon systems and technologies that combine robustness, reliability and precision with a low logistical footprint and excellent value for money.
The company is a preferred supplier of mortars and rocket systems to the French defence ministry and the armed forces of allied countries and friendly nations around the world.
Some TDA weapon systems and munitions — such as our rifled mortars and induction rockets — are the only products of their kind available on the world market.
We team with platform manufacturers and other specialists to integrate our weapon systems on armoured vehicles, combat helicopters and other types of aircraft.
Recent conflicts have underscored the dangers of operating in populated areas, where combatants and civilians are intermingled. Rising the this latest challenge, TDA has developed new types of weapons to meet the needs and mission profiles of modern armed forces.
TDA's investments in research and development have brought significant improvements in weapon delivery precision, for example with our guided munitions for both rifled and smooth-bore 120 mm mortars and the latest-generation air-launched rocket systems.
Both weapons are delivered in the same way as ballistic munitions before being guided onto a laser illuminated target. Both offer metric precision — accuracy of within one metre — to reduce the explosive payload and thus limit the risk of collateral damage.
