|About||The Teen Health Center, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that offers mental and medical healthcare to anyone in Galveston County ages 0-21, free of charge.|
|Mission||The Teen Health Center, Inc.'s mission is to increase the number of Galveston County youth graduating high school as competent, healthy persons who are knowledgeable about and practice healthy life styles.|
Founded in 1985, the Teen Health Center, Inc. operates five school based clinics to keep students in school, missing as little time as possible while meeting their medical and mental health needs.
Any child, aged 0 – 21 who lives in Galveston County is eligible for Teen Health Center services even if they are not a student. Children under age 18 must have a signed parental consent form to be seen for any of our services, but once that consent is on file for that year the student can come into one of our clinics at any time. Patients over 18 can sign their own consent form.
The Teen Health Center, Inc. employs only the most qualified providers, trained in the most effective evidence based practices.
Our staff includes:
•Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners
•Licensed Professional Counselors
•Licensed Clinical Social Workers
Consistent with our mission to remove all barriers to access, services are provided free of charge. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, the Teen Health Center, Inc. does not accept insurance, Medicaid, or payment of any kind.
