The APPG on British Muslims cover
Mission Highlighting the aspirations and challenges of British Muslims. Celebrating contributions of Muslim communities to Britain. Investigating prejudice, discrimination and hatred against Muslims in the UK.
Description To inform Parliament and parliamentarians of, and harness their support for, the aspirations and challenges of British Muslim communities; to promote and celebrate their contributions; and to investigate the forms, manifestations and extent of prejudice, discrimination and hatred against Muslims in the UK.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on British Muslims was established on 18 July 2017 to build on the work of the APPG on Islamophobia, of which many Members were active in, but with a wider remit to examine a broad range of issues that British Muslims care about.

Its main aims are to inform policy and decision making by:

- highlighting the aspirations and challenges of British Muslims;
- celebrating the contributions of Muslim communities to Britain; and
- investigating prejudice, discrimination and hatred against Muslims in the UK.

APPGs are composed of Members of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. They are informal, cross-party groups that have no official status within Parliament, are not accorded any powers by Parliament or any of its Committees, and are independent of government.

The APPG on British Muslims is supported by The Aziz Foundation, which includes the provision of administrative and financial support.

The APPG's entry in the official Register of All-Party Parliamentary Groups is available online, which is regularly updated with details of its Members and declarations. Rules for APPGs and other information can be found on the relevant page of the Parliament website.
