|About||Taking steps to end poverty. Oxfam Trailwalker - Brisbane 2018|
We're back again for a second shot at the Brisbane Trail and taking steps to end poverty.
Darren, Eleanor & Emily know what they've got themselves in for this time and Matt has stepped up (he'll be doing plenty more of that) from support crew to replace Nettie, who'll be sorely missed.
During the 2017 event, we vowed we would never do this again. It was bloody hard yakka and plenty of tears were shed. Then the realisation came that the majority of human kind endures far worse conditions. Daily.
We aim to raise over $4000. Oxfam can do all kinds of things with $4000, be it providing disaster relief or building toilets or educating and empowering communities to make and sell their own crafts and grow their own food to end the cycle of poverty. Being uncomfortable for 30 odd hours is nothing in comparison.
|Description||Oxfam Australia works with local communities to help them create their own sustainable solutions to poverty. Together, we are promoting education, ensuring access to clean water, teaching skills to grow food and advocating for their basic rights. By supporting Oxfam Trailwalker, you are making a significant difference to people living in poverty around the world.|
