The mission of the Clinical and Translational Research Unit (CTRU) at UGA is to provide resources for investigators in Georgia to conduct clinical and translational research with human participants with the goal of improving health through advancing the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. The CTRU also aims to provide learning opportunities to students to gain valuable training and experience in clinical and translational research.
The Clinical and Translational Research Unit (CTRU), located on the UGA Health Sciences Campus, supports investigators to conduct clinical and translational studies that advance the understanding, prevention and treatment of human diseases. For students and health sciences trainees, the unit provides opportunities to learn how laboratory discoveries are translated into improved patient outcomes.
