|About||We offer counselling, support and training concerning the impact of bereavement, life-changing illness and significant loss.|
|Mission||To enable people to deal with grief, loss and change.|
Death and loss are so often sanitised or avoided in today's society, but the work we do is vital as death and loss inevitably touch each and every one of our lives.
Sometimes when illness or bereavement occurs it can seem almost impossible to move on. WE CAN HELP PEOPLE MOVE FORWARD WITH HOPE.
We work with individual adults, children, young people, couples, families, part families and people of all abilities. Anyone can benefit from our services, when and where needed. We have specific projects tailored to the needs of children, young people and those with learning disabilities.
We also conduct research into loss and are at the forefront of new techniques to help people address loss. Last year (2011) we provided 11,500 counselling sessions to 1,963 clients but there are many more people who we could help. Much of our work is funded but there are significant numbers of people who our funding does not allow us to reach, particularly children in the 4-10 age group.
