The Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild is a non-profit trade association which works to promote and protect the handcrafted soap and cosmetic industry.
|Mission||The only international non-profit trade association promoting the benefits of handcrafted soap and cosmetics. Working together to give a voice to our industry.|
The Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild was formed in 1998 by a small group of enterprising soapmakers. The first annual conference was held at the Woodspirits Farm in Ohio. Since that initial gathering the association has grown in terms of both numbers of members and outreach into the community. The HSCG now has members in nearly every US state and territory, and many other countries.
The 20th Annual HSCG Conference will be held in Las Vegas, NV May 1-3, 2017 at the Tropicana Las Vegas.
The conference runs three days, with registration starting on the evening before the first day. There may be optional seminars or other activities on the day of registration. Classes and presentations are held during the day and in the evening there are parties or events. Dinner on the last night is the Annual Awards Banquet.
Conference attendance is open to members and non-members of the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild, Inc. The registration fee includes attendance to all classes, demonstrations and workshops, participation in door prizes, drawings and prize awards, optional participation in the Soapers Showcase, and invitations to special hosted evening events and parties. Meals and snacks are provided as part of the conference fee. Special discounted prices for hotel rooms for conference attendees are negotiated by the HSCG.
