|About||Raising competency standards for the financial industry in Singapore.|
The Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF) was established in 1974 as a not-for-profit industry association to foster and develop the professional competencies of the financial sector. IBF represents the interests of close to 200 member financial institutions covering banks, insurance companies, securities brokerages and asset management firms.
IBF works closely with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) , the financial industry and financial training providers to empower financial practitioners with capabilities for a robust Asian financial industry.
IBF administers regulatory and industry examinations and training grant schemes offered by the Financial Sector Development Fund (FSDF) in Singapore. IBF is currently the national accreditation and certification agency for financial industry competency in Singapore under the IBF Standards. These Standards are developed in partnership with industry leaders, and provide a professional development and skills roadmap for financial sector practitioners to excel in their respective job roles. IBF also organises events to promote best practices and facilitate discussion on industry trends and developments.
