The J.A. Project supports the next generation of foreign journalists through our keynote program, the Above the Fray fellowship at NPR.
THE JOHN ALEXANDER PROJECT is dedicated to funding the next generation of journalists; to finding untold stories.
Above the Fray supports curious, truth-seeking, spirited individuals who wish to cover under-reported regions, but who do not have the financial means or professional support to pursue these stories. Applicants should have at least three but no more than five years' professional experience. Above all, the applicant must express sincere interest in innovative foreign reporting, a curiosity about global cultures and a demonstrated record of journalistic potential.
