Longtime Brookline residents, engineers, product developers, life and business partners, Hayley Greenberg and Manny Cabanas are ready to launch their next project; a design lab, co-working and makerspace in the heart of Coolidge Corner.
"We were looking for our next development project when we stumbled upon a For Rent sign just behind Trader Joe's on Sewall Avenue. The place was in rough shape but had good bones. We had often discussed the idea of a community space in Coolidge Corner where people would collaborate on projects and businesses, teach and learn new skills, form groups as well as enrich the neighborhood with entertainment, art, cultural events and social gatherings. This space was in a great, central location and we hoped could be transformed to meet our vision. We decided to move forward and a year later we are very excited to be opening our doors and to share this dream with our neighbors, friends and community."
We hope you can stop by, take a look at what we’ve done so far but also let us know what you'd like The Makery to be for you, your neighborhood, your town and your city.
