|About||The Mill Street Tavern is the place all want to be for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and for an evening on the rooftop deck.|
Housed near the site of the "Greenwich Mill" the first tidal Mill in the world, patrons will see a recreated mill as they approach the restaurant and period mill artifacts via see-through panels in the main dining area. The restaurant and bar will charm all with a collection of elements brought over from Ireland, childhood home to owner, a grouping of international effects, as well as beautiful Lowcountry finds. The main dining area boasts floor to ceiling woodwork and wall to wall windows viewing Shem Creek, while the rooftop deck is adorned with wrought iron work throughout from Egypt and gives uninterrupted views of the creek. Each part of the restaurant has a history and is a story within itself.
“It has been an honor to be a part of the Mount Pleasant community over the past five plus years, says Woodman. Since coming to the area, we have always wanted to bring a concept to Shem Creek that would showcase and celebrate the sheer beauty and rich history of the creek and the Lowcountry as a whole.”
Designed by Crave's Executive Chef Landen Ganstrom, The Mill Street Tavern’s menu will feature Lowcountry favorites and weekly specials, highlighting local ingredients and flavors. “Coming up with the new food was simple. I just came up with things that I'd want to feed my family, because, in many ways, this community is our family," says Executive Chef Landen Ganstrom.
The Mill Street Tavern will be open Monday - Sunday from 7am - 2am serving breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as offering daily specials and signature cocktails.
