The Noguchi Museum cover

The Noguchi Museum exhibits an unparalleled collection of art and design by Japanese-American artist Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988), including large basalt and marble stone sculptures; models for architecture, monuments and public works; play sculptures; photography; modern design and furniture, and stage sets.

Two floors of gallery space and a serene outdoor sculpture garden. Designed by Noguchi in collaboration with architect Shoji Sadao, the Museum itself is one of his greatest works.

The Museum also offers extensive family and public programming, and rotating exhibitions and residencies with contemporary artists. Tours at 2 pm. Admission. Children under 12 free.

Free first Friday of the month, with extended hours and live music in the garden May–September.

Also houses the artist's foundation, including his vast personal archives; a Museum Shop and Cafe; and is the North American distributor for Noguchi's Akari Light Sculptures, in production since 1951 by Ozeki Company in Gifu, Japan.
