The Northwest Seaport Alliance is a marine cargo operating partnership of the Port of Seattle and Port of Tacoma.
The ports of Seattle and Tacoma cut a bold new path in August 2015, joining forces to form The Northwest Seaport Alliance.
The first of its kind, the alliance aims to strengthen the Puget Sound gateway and attract more cargo and jobs to the region. The NWSA is working with customers and stakeholders to deliver on its commitment to be the easiest gateway with which to do business.
Located in the Pacific Northwest in Washington state, the NWSA offers shorter U.S.-to-Asia transits and a deep connection to Alaska.
The ports of Seattle and Tacoma remain separate organizations and retain ownership of their respective assets. Under a port development authority, the two ports manage the container, breakbulk, auto and some bulk terminals in Seattle and Tacoma.
